OUR FOOD PHILOSOPHY
I believe each individual ingredient takes us in a new direction. It’s as challenging as it is exciting to bring out the best in each ingredient; I like my dishes to be perceived as simplistic. However, in reality, each has a depth of complexity in terms of technique and composition.
With every passing season, our dishes evolve to highlight the best of what is about in the Adelaide Hills.

Our team grows and forages here on our property and we are focused on highlighting the bounty of the Adelaide Hills. The altitude, rainfall and soil here combine with the passion of our local farmers to produce a truly world class standard of produce, solidifying dining out in the Adelaide Hills as a true experience. We are blessed to be one of the restaurants in the epicentre of a food bowl of Australia, and fortunate to have ingredients in our kitchen as soon as they are harvested. With a menu crafted from the fresh foods of the area and wine supplied from the wine capital of Australia, eating out in the Adelaide Hills is an experience not to be missed.
ARTHUR HARDY'S CELLAR
We have excavated and restored Arthur Hardy’s 170 year old cellar underneath the original house. Our Sommelier has put together a cellar to rival any in the state, indeed Gourmet Traveller Wine awarded us ‘Best Listing of South Australian Wines’ in the country at the recent Australian Wine List of the Year awards.
The Sommelier has also selected different wine matches from the extensive offering for our long story degustation menu.
